PC Invasion’s Most Expected Game of 2022 – Jason’s Picks

The year 2022 is upon us, and with it a slew of PC games. I’ve been eyeing first-person shooters (FPS), strategy games, horror titles, and other genres. Below, you’ll see my picks for the most anticipated PC Invasion games of 2022.

In fact, some of these were supposed to launch this year, but they were delayed due to the pandemic. I hope that they are finally released in the coming months. Likewise, you can take a look at Games in 2021 if you are interested.

Dying Light 2 Stays In Humans

If we arrange in chronological order, then Dying Light 2 Stays In Humans leads the pack due to its February 4 release date. My wife and I absolutely love the original (she’s a huge fan of horror games, especially those with zombies). So we definitely want to see what’s in store.

We’re expecting massive environments and open-world settings filled with terrifying creatures. Maybe we’ll play some co-op games. God knows my old rig is dusty.

Total War: Warhammer III

A few weeks later Dying Light 2 come out, we’ll see Total War: Warhammer III on February 17. This rounds out the trio, adding factions like Kislev, Cathay, and Ogre Kingdom. There are even four armies of Daemons of Chaos.

In any case, I make no secret of my love for Warhammer– related stuff. Furthermore, I have included various DLCs like The Twisted & The Twilight and The Silence & The Fury. Let’s just say Total War: Warhammer III is something that will keep me glued to my seat. And, yes, I pray to the Great Horned Rat that we finally get to play Thanquol in the campaign.

Fate 2: The Witch Queen

February is definitely the busiest month of the year. On February 22, we will see Fate 2: The Witch Queen. This massive expansion helps the Guardians fend off Savathun and Hive, now infused with the twisted power that comes from the Light.

For fairness, Fate 2 is a very attractive game and really requires you to invest a lot of time. However, I’ve got my fingers through that Witch Queen, similar to Season of the Lost, preloaded with a lot of content that makes me happy.

Elden Ring

What do you know? Chances are I won’t see sunlight in February. Just before the end of the month, on February 25th, we will have Elden Ring. This dark fantasy game is one of the most anticipated releases of 2022, and with good reason. It’s made by FromSoftware, so you can expect punishing boss battles, well-hidden secrets, and visceral combat. Likewise, George RR Martin helped with the mythological and world-building aspects of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok

After finishing Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris, I’m eager to see Eivor’s next adventure in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok. It launched on March 10.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: recent games have rekindled my interest in Assassin’s Creed franchise because of how much they have embraced fantasy and mythological settings. As such, an expansion in which Eivor accepts his/her identity as Odin, while facing the challenges of the apocalypse, sounds right to me. Likewise, I wish Story through, if at all, just to once again have a chance to find fan favorites.

WWE 2K22

Let’s solve this problem: WWE 2K20 it’s brutal. So why am I looking forward to another game in the series? Well, mainly because we know how WWE 2K21 was canceled, to the point where Visual Con Concept ended up focusing on the next title instead (launching March 2022).

I’m eager to see if the studio can learn from the lessons of the past. Other than that, I still love pro wrestling video games and I still want to create more athlete wrestlers (CAWs). Yes, I am also worried that we could get a severely depleted roster due to the cuts that have occurred in the previous months.

Lost

Lost Play the role of a cat who goes on an adventure in the future world. What more do you need to say? It’s a cat game and it’s coming out in early 2022.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me

I mentioned the titles that are part of the Collection of Shadow Images. Including Man of Medan, Little hopeand, most recently, House of Ashes. Every horror game in the series uses a historical event or macabre lore as the setting, followed by a twist. Then you need to make the right decisions and get through the fast-paced events (QTE) to make sure that everyone survives.

There’s a good chance that Devil Inside me will be released in October 2022, just in time for Halloween. Furthermore, we get to see its own installment about HH Holmes, the serial killer who is nicknamed the “Devil in the White City” and the hotel is dubbed the “Murder Castle”. You will even notice Saw vibes from the trailer.

Starfield

Starfield touted as Bethesda’s first new universe in 25 years. I played (and loved) The Elder Scrolls and Fall out and I can’t wait for it to come out on November 11th. This sci-fi RPG will most likely take me countless hours.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Vermintide and its sequel became a huge hit. In 2022 we will see the next iteration – Black tide – placed in Warhammer 40,000 won or 40 thousand The universe. It will feature frenetic first-person action and four-player co-op. Your characters will fight the hordes of Nurgle followers in the lower reaches of Hive City.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Space Marine 2 yet another game set in a grim campus Warhammer 40K The universe. The original game came out a decade ago, and this sequel marks the return of Captain Titus. He survived and is now supported by Primaris Marines. And, yes, you will also have to fight countless Tyranids.

Also, since this is the third major Warhammer-related titles are expected to come out next year, I’m really looking forward to one Warhammer movies too. Maybe Henry Cavill will portray Neoth / God Emperor of Mankind (if that is 40 thousand film) or Emperor Karl Franz (if it was Imagine movie). Either way, you can toss a coin at Emprah!

Genshin Impact – Update Sumeru

The Genshin effect was one of my Games of 2021 and it’s still part of The list of the most anticipated games of 2022. This has really become my go-to link and it’s not just because I wrote lots of tutorials. It’s all because of how miHoYo has managed to create a world alive with majestic landscapes, memorable characters, and countless secrets. The first two regions, Mondstadt and Liyue, were available from the start. Meanwhile, parts of the Inazuma region have been released in subsequent updates.

In 2022, we’re going to the new continent of Sumeru, which is expected to feature Southeast Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern aesthetics. It can be released into pieces, similar to Inazuma. Also, we can initially visit smaller areas, like Dragonspine and Golden Apple Islands, before we venture to the proper continent.

Company of Heroes 3

It’s been a while since I last played Company of Heroes game and I have my vision of this. Company of Heroes 3 took place at the Mediterranean Theater of World War II. You can bet that there is a lot of strategy and planning involved as your teams try to defeat opposing forces to capture territories.

Sniper Elite 5

Talking about World War II, Sniper Elite 5 bring the series to France. It’s 1944 and the Allies are about to breach Hitler’s Atlantic Wall. There are many malicious plots, and Karl Fairburne must help the French Resistance or the invasion will be completely defeated. Yeah, I definitely want those evil sniper killer orange chains.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

The sequel of 2004 Lineage the game makes me salivate just thinking about another game The dark world RPG, especially with Paradox Interactive at the top. Truth be told, Werewolf: Apocalypse – Earthblood, which came out in February 2021, left me very disappointed. Visual novel games, Coins of New York and Shadow of New York, fly under my radar and I still haven’t played them. For Swan Song, I don’t really care. So yes, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the one that has caught my attention.

Honorable Mention: Early Access Game – Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Valheim

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Gate 3 of Baldur, and Valheim were released as Early Access titles in March 2020, October 2020 and February 2021 respectively. I covered these when they first appeared. Although they are playable, a lot of the features and functions are still incomplete. I was confident that they would eventually come out in full force in 2022.

Well, these are my most anticipated games of 2022. I may have forgotten the others, but these should do now. Hopefully we will all see these in the coming months. Wishing you happy holidays!
